ATi's video board line has vastly improved in the last few years. Their driver support, once maligned as unresponsive and slow, is reaching speeds comparable to rival NVidia. Performance in their boards has reached neck-and-neck status, with your choice of board depending on secondary features such as noise, extra features, and performance in the particular game of your choice.

The top-of-the-line boards also seem to have gotten ahead of the current generation of games, which made this review a little bit difficult. It allows for extra features like Ansiotropic Filtering and FSAA to come into play readily, but the question of next-generation features and DirectX 9.0 games had to wait until I had my hands on one.
