In a tradition of bringing sequels, Activision has brought in another old powerhouse--the BattleZone franchise--with BattleZone 2. Those who remember the original arcade machines will remember some interesting effects, especially for its time. The PC version of BattleZone, built on the original's one-on-one gameplay, gave players a taste of RTS-style gameplay from a unit in the first-person perspective. BattleZone 2 fleshes out the experience, adding in nifty effects as well as new enemies and weaponry. It's a nice idea, but unfortunately a little ahead of its time.
