Take a swashbuckling hero, turn him into a wanted fugutive, give him an airplane and some cronies, and what do you have? Surprisingly enough, an incredibly fun flight game from Microsoft called Crimson Skies. This is one of the titles based on licenses Microsoft acquired from FASA (makers of tabletop/roleplaying games like BattleTech and Shadowrun) a while back, and from the looks of it FASA's tabletop games are in good hands when it comes to video game conversions. Crimson Skies offers just about anything an action junkie could want: tight, exciting dogfights, planes that can do all those crazy aerial maneuvers, powerful guns, and the mandatory big explosions.
