Squaresoft is the biggest name in console RPG's, no question.  The Final Fantasy line is one of the largest long-running series in existence, having spanned from the NES to the SNES, Gameboy, and through Playstation and PS2.  Of course, Squaresoft didn't JUST stop there: they also have produced such wonderful titles as the Chrono Trigger / Chrono Cross games.

While debate can go on for hours over the merits of each game (FF3 versus FF7, FF8 as the black sheep of the series, FF9 as the last gasp of "cute" looking, mini-sized characters) we have a new game to play with before Squaresoft makes the leap with number 11 onto the online RPG world.  We have Final Fantasy X, which is quite possibly the most engaging and fun Final Fantasy to date.
