Star Wars games, a few years back, almost died. Lucasarts boldly proclaimed that they would no longer sanction video games in the classic universe, and that everything would be based on Episode I and the sequels.

Thank goodness that didn't last.For those of you who don't like or can't handle RPG play, and thus were excluded from KOTOR, there's now Jedi Academy, the fifth title in the venerable Dark Forces line.

But does it hold up? Well, yes and no. There's a PC version available, but trust me on this, the lightsaber controls as they have evolved (and once you've got a lightsaber, most other weapons are so underpowered as to be useless) are better on a control pad. Thus, the Xbox edition.
